My approach

When I started Embrave Physical Therapy, I wanted to use my training and the access my degree gives me to provide education and treatment in a way that truly helps people.

I believe there is real value in a full assessment and follow-up sessions. This approach gives time for accountability, learning, asking questions, and adjusting the plan if something isn’t working.

That said, one session with me does not obligate you to more. I am happy to refer to you to other providers if I'm not a good fit for your current needs. Discovery calls are a great way to start the process.

Assessment and Follow-Up

An Initial Assessment allows us to review your past medical history, current distresses and joys, and what your goals are. We will co-create a treatment plan for you, as well as discuss what homework may look like, and how you prefer to learn.

Follow-up sessions are for us to continue to align toward your goals and address whether the plan we have created is meeting your expectations. Depending on your focus, this could be talking, preparing for an internal exam, weight lifting, or a combination of interventions. Your expertise in your body will guide the plan.

Who do I work with? People who would like a change in their relationship with their pelvis and want to learn more about how those muscles function. I work with people 18 and up. My passions are addressing incontinence, supporting confidence and joy in aging tissues, and fostering curiosity and compassion for oneself.

Booking an Initial Assessment does not compel you to have any follow-up sessions with me. Think I might be a good fit as a provider? Clicking any of the images below will bring you to my booking page.

Gender-Affirming Care

Gender is a social construct and the binary system we swim in shrinks the breadth of what health means for everyone.

Trauma-Informed Care

A state of health includes all systems and your well-being is important to me. In all sessions I will seek to bolster your autonomy and I welcome feedback.

Science-Informed Care

Medicine and science are rife with bias. I seek to engage with that bias and use data interpretation and conclusions to collaboratively care for the uniqueness of you.

Pricing and Payment

Reducing the barrier of finances to these services is important to me. To the best of my current knowledge, my prices are consistent with other providers in the Greater Richmond area. I offer sliding scale options, no questions asked.

I also want to fund my own ability to learn more and ensure I maintain best practices of gender-affirming and trauma-informed care. An initial evaluation is 60-minutes and $200 and follow-up sessions are 60-minutes and $150. I am always happy to refer to other care providers, both cash-based and insurance based.
